Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is born 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora or sometimes stylized with the letters in uppercase as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, launched in May, 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band to promote John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are two of the best covers of the artist. Her name was also recognized via a blog post from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding the piano in her attic, and getting enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes to pursue the piano as a passion or a career. She started writing songs of her own. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mom encouraged her to sing her music publicly, not so that she could become famous but rather inspire others to realize just how important the music they compose and what they could do to improve the world. In the age of 6 she began to learn the piano and at nine began writing her own songs. Her family didn't hear about her musical journey until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a dream. She claims that she enjoys composing songs. Music to her is the ideal way to be able to feel whatever.
